SMATTHINGS ENERGY
Manage your energy usage to reduce your carbon footprint and save money. SmartThings Energy* provides energy efficiency tips. It also monitors the energy consumption of appliances** in real-time and compares it to the previous month. And it alerts you if your monthly targets might be exceeded.

A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required.** SmartThings Energy currently works with around 40 Samsung home appliances that are SmartThings enabled. These include washing machines, clothes dryers, dish washers, air conditioners, air purifiers, vacuum cleaners, ovens, hoods, cooktops, microwave, TVs (from June 2022) and energy meters.
SMATTHINGS HOME CARE
Take care of your washer or dryer much more easily. SmartThings Home Care* notifies you when parts need replacing and helps troubleshoot problems. It also shows you how to update the software of services and devices. And it provides useful tips on using your appliance, as well as a user manual.

Ensure your clothes smell sweeter for longer. The Deep Softener option maximizes the effect of softener by optimizing the rinsing algorithm. So the fragrance lasts longer with the same amount of softener. This reduces waste, as you don’t need to exceed the normal dosage or add a soaking course.
* Based on internal testing, which showed a 20% increase in the softener absorption rate compared to a conventional washing machine.
POWERFUL FILTRATION
Keep unsightly speckles off your whites and darks, and protect the drainage from getting clogged up. A Magic Filter with a dual mesh, at the front and back, effectively gathers the lint, fluff and particles that come out of your laundry. And it is easy to empty out the filter, as it opens 180°.
INTENSIVE CLEANING
Get clothes spotlessly clean, even if they are really dirty. An Intensive Wash can be used in any course* to remove stubborn stains, like blood, tea, wine, make-up or grass. It quickly pre-mixes detergent and helps water to penetrate deep into the fabric. So dirt is removed more effectively.**
* Available in all courses, except for the Quick Cycle and Delicate Cycle.** Compared to normal cycle.
Keep your top load washer fresh and hygienically clean, while being eco-friendly and saving money. The Eco Tub Clean course removes dirt and up to 95% of bacteria* that can build-up in the tub, without using harsh or costly detergent. And it notifies you automatically when it needs cleaning**.
* Eliminates 95% of Pseudomonas aeruginosa from the surface of a tub. Based on the results from the tests performed by Intertek engineers in accordance with the test protocols provided by Samsung: equip a tub polluted with bacteria into the machine, run the Eco Tub Clean cycle and then compare the number of viable bacteria before and after the cycle. The Eco Tub Clean function should be used with no laundry inside the tub. Individual results may vary depending on the actual usage conditions. ** Recommended for use every one or two months, when an alert icon turns on.

EASY, SAFER CONTROLS
Use your washer easily and intuitively without worrying about splashing water on the digital panel. The slanted Rear Control is located at the back of the machine. It means the controls are really easy to see, even from a distance, and are protected from water splashes when getting clothes out.
